Aslan is undeniably gorgeous. This boy is approx 9-10 months old and has such a sad story to tell! He was adopted as a puppy from MHCR. Right before Christmas, he was DUMPED AT A MUNICPAL SHELTER by his family. What’s worse than that? Well, they requested the shelter euthanize him. Apparently, he was boarded over Thanksgiving at a new place and didn’t have a good experience. He was petrified and urinated himself and snapped at the kennel staff in fear. When the shelter contacted us, they said their intent was to euthanize him unless we wanted him back. OF COURSE we did! Aslan went to our boarding facility for a few days prior to entering foster care. The staff there (as well as our transport driver) reported nothing but happy tail wags and kisses! Once Aslan got to foster, it was more of the same. He’s AMAZING! The thought that this boy almost died is mind blowing! Aslan is great with every dog in his foster home (male/female, medium/large, you name it). He’s super sweet meeting new people and loves loves loves snuggling with his foster mom on the couch while she works. He’s not perfect (but pretty damn close) as he does struggle some with leash reactivity. He’s presently working on this in foster and making great strides. It helps that he’s very food motivated. Aslan is approx 45-50 lbs. He’s a smaller guy with a HUGE heart and warm personality. He will thrive in a multi-dog home with a yard.
