With a face like this you don’t really need a bio. But our girl Bea deserves/demands the same courtesy as all of the other MHCR dogs. So, here goes. Bea, short for Beatrice, is a 4 year old Bulldog. This adorable bundle of squish has been in a few homes that we can trace and was likely bred repeatedly. When Bea first entered our care we could see immediately that she needed help with her eyes (was repaired 12/30/21) and potentially her legs due to some pretty wonky conformation. What we didn’t know is she also was heartworm positive. Before we could get going on anything else, Bea started her heartworm treatment.
After some months in foster with a proper diet and exercise, the orthopedic vet decided she was not a great candidate for leg surgery so we moved straight in for her eyes. After that’s complete, she’ll be ready for her home! Bea is looking for a home as the only dog without human children. She’d love a bulldog savvy home as sometimes her ‘tude is bigger than her actual body. She’s crate and house trained, too!
