Blue's Story

Baby Blue with the one baby blue eye! This adorably sweet, petite, and utterly delicious boy is approx 5-6 months old and only 20 lbs. He’s like a mini Boxer/Pit mix. Blue is the perfect go anywhere size and he’s very friendly, too! He’s great with dogs and has been around kids age 9 plus. Blue joined MHCR from a high intake shelter in Texas and he weighed under 6 lbs. He was so tiny and emaciated. He spent a few weeks in a Texas foster before traveling to CO. He’s now healthy and ready to find his forever home. Due to potential breed mixes, no apartments or breed ban areas allowed.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
