Chance's Story

Hi, I’m Chance! I’m a sweet and smart boy and I’ve learned a lot since I came to CO. When I got here, I didn’t understand stairs, doors, hallways, collars or leashes. But man, I love learning what life is outside the shelter! In just a short time, I mastered a doggie door and I practically fly up and down stairs! My foster parents say I’m almost house-broken and the crate isn’t so bad. I’m great on a leash and learning my manners more and more every day! They say I’m the perfect family dog. I haven’t been around small kids, but my foster parents suspect I’d be fine once I learn to not to jump and nip. I’m approx 6-7 months old.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
