Cody (adoptable)

Do you need a loving pal and adventure buddy? Look no further! Cody is a 1-year-old, 45 lbs lab mix that was saved from the euthanasia list at a high intake shelter in Houston. He was picked up as a stray, so little is known about his history. Cody needs to gain a little bit of weight (which will not be a problem with the way he eats🤣), but otherwise seems no worse for wear for being a street dog. He’s a healthy boy! He loves friends-the human and dog variety. He is doing well with crate training, working on leash skills, and integrating into a family routine. He has so many of the endearing lab traits: loving, loyal, friendly, food motivated, explorative, follows his nose, active, wants to learn…we could go on and on. His ideal home includes a fenced yard and a family that will work on training and socialization with him, as a lot of the world still seems to be very new for him and he is still very puppy like.
