Diesel is a little, 1 year old, pit mix who is very down on his luck. Diesel joined MHCR from a high intake shelter in Roswell, NM.
Diesel is extremely cuddly and affectionate with his humans. He aims to please and responds well to training with positive reinforcement. Diesel does great with confident, playful dogs. A home with a dog he can look up to and accept the lead from will be so great for him. He would also be completely fine being the solo pet in the home. He’s an awesome consideration for a young couple looking for a buddy. Or even a single guy or gal wanting the companionship of a dog. He goes for jogs with volunteers sometimes and really enjoys that, too. At around 40 lbs, Diesel is a great size to hop in the car and get going. At this time, we feel a home with older kids (age 12+) is the best option for this dude.
