Ethel's Story

Ethel! This gorgeous, wrinkly pile of goodness is Ethel. She’s approx 12-16 weeks old and came to MHCR from Texas. Ethel’s mom is supposed to be a lab/pit mix and it’s rumored her dad is a Great Dane. If I were a betting type of gal, I’d have to say mama was a bit of a hussy and had a rendezvous or two with a Shar Pei. Whatever her DNA, Ethel is as sweet as can be. She’s a little shy, but is in foster with other dogs and a 12 year-old human kid that she does very well with. Ethel is blossoming into such a sweet and lovely girl.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
