Gabby (I've Already Found a Home)

Gabby the gorgeous, 10-12 month old, Great Pyrenees/Poodle mix is a 50 lbs lap dog! If in doubt about whether or not she will fit on your lap, I promise you, she will find room. Gabby loves children and tends to gravitate more quickly to women than men. While she’s loving and playful with humans, her breeds cannot be ignored and she’s looking for a home savvy with at least one, but preferably both of her family trees. Gabby will thrive with an active family that has a large yard that’s securely fenced in. 5-6′ please! She has the loud, Pyrenees bark that alerts those both near and far that she’s on the lookout for trouble. Gabby prefers a family that’s around often and that can provide mental stimulation to keep her from succumbing to less desirable behaviors like chewing and digging. She enjoys hiking and does pretty well on leash, so a mountainous home may also be a good fit. Gabby does well with similarly sized, male dogs. She is working on overcoming some shyness by getting out and socializing often and she’s come a long way. While she loves kids, we feel she’s best suited in a home with children old enough to understand that dogs have boundaries and do not like to be startled while sleeping or messed with while eating.
