Our Georgia girl is a real peach! This pretty, young, thing is around 4 months old and weighs approx 26 lbs. She’s definitely got some growing left to do if her owners were accurate when they called her a Cane Corso mix. Georgia came to MHCR after she was surrendered to a vet office. She was injured and needed to have her leg amputated. Her owners decided mid surgery they didn’t want a 3 legged dog, so they signed her over. Luckily, the vet office reached out to MHCR for assistance and a foster home agreed to take her. Georgia is healing marvelously! Her hind leg was amputated, and she sustained a slight fracture to her front leg – but that healed super quickly. Georgia is great with dogs and ADORES kids. Georgia’s wish list for a forever home is a doggie friend, maybe some human kiddos, and a sunny spot she can sunbathe in. Clearly, the fewer stairs the better as staircases are harder for her navigate but she does quite well with a few stairs here and there.
