Gruffalo's Story

Gruffalo, ”Gruff” for short, is a 3 year old, 100 lbs, gentle giant. Gruff is a Mastiff (possibly a mix) that is learning about indoor living for the first time and he’s a BIG fan! Gruff is enjoying comfy beds, full food bowls, and ALLLLLL the affection. This dude is dog friendly (including smalls) and does well with children that are comfortable with large dogs. He prefers to spend as much time as possible with his humans, so a home where he’s not left alone often is preferred. He will need a secure crate and a yard with a 6ft privacy fence. Gruff is neutered, recently had his tail amputated due to prior trauma, and has had a gastropexy.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
