Oh Henna, the beautiful girl. Henna is an approx 2 year old, female, pittie mix. She was pulled from a high kill shelter by a local rescuer in Texas OVER A YEAR AGO. Henna kept being passed up by rescues because she was an ordinary, black, pit mix….not exactly rare. FINALLY, a foster heard her plea and offered her a foster home. We couldn’t be happier! Henna is the best girl! She’s so sweet, great with dogs, house trained, crate trained, an absolute doll! She really enjoys plenty of dog toys, too! Henna is what some would call a house hippo at 68 lbs, but she’s a little on the “fluffy” side and should be closer to 60 lbs. Henna will appreciate a human looking for a best friend. And couch privileges are a non-negotiable for this girl! But who cares?!? She deserves all the couch time she wants! Henna is a dream on leash and makes an excellent companion for patio dining or brewery hopping. Due to the amount of time Henna has spent as a homeless doggie, she will need a patient human willing to allow her some time to decompress in her new home and help her by following a predictable routine.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
