Iris is a Colorado outdoorsman’s dream! This 22 lbs, 1-2 year old, Chihuahua/Corgi mix is small without being dainty. She’s a hearty girl up for any adventure! Iris greets every person she meets with a smile and a tail wag. She LOVES playing with dogs of all sizes and is skilled with adjusting her play style accordingly. Iris rides well in the car, enjoys walks or jogs, and girl has a vertical jump of about 4 ft! We are seeking an active home with a fenced in yard for this babe. She’s quite a catch! No cats or small animals please as she does have a prey drive. Iris is house and crate trained in her foster home.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
