John is a beautiful, chocolate-colored pittie boy. He’s approx 4.5 months old. John came with his siblings from a small, under-funded, high-kill shelter in Texas. They were facing euthanasia due to staffing issues when a local rescue came in to help network them. It was then they landed a golden ticket to Colorado where they now hope to find their forever home.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
