Kayce's Story

Kayce is a very sweet, 4.5 month old, male pittie mix. He’s joined MHCR from a very small, high kill shelter in an under served area in Texas. He and his siblings were facing euthanasia due to lack of staffing at their shelter when a local rescue came in to help network them. Kayce is the big, lovable, teddy bear of the group. He’s everyone’s favorite friend. He’s confident but not cocky, outgoing, and so snuggly.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
