Kendra is a 5 year-old, female, Great Dane that’s a bit down on her luck. She was surrendered with her “sister”, Meredith, to a high intake, rural shelter in Texas. The pair traveled to CO and they each joined foster home. Meredith is good with other dogs (she’s presently in boarding and participates in play groups). She’s a couch potato in a home and prefers to have humans around her often. Meredith was adopted to a home as an only dog and was returned after a week due to separation anxiety. Her foster home did not experience separation anxiety with her, so for this reason, we feel she is best suited in a single-family home with another dog. Her ideal canine companion should be easy going, as Kendra prefers to be the boss. This sweet girl is hoping someone takes a chance on her soon! MHCR is committed to helping Kendra adapt to her new home and is prepared to loan a heavy-duty crate and assist with anxiety meds during a behavior modification routine, should she experience separation anxiety.
