Kiara's Story

Kiara is a gorgeous, 3-4 year old, Catahoula. She’s approx 44 lbs. Kiara found herself on death row due to lack of space after being surrendered with her family of puppies.
Kiara is a very friendly girl and is outgoing towards strangers. She’s great with dogs and even seems to not mind cats. Kiara is also house and crate trained. We recommend a home with kiddos aged 8+ and a fenced in yard for this beauty queen.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
