Hi, my name is Leland. I’m a 5-6 month old, husky mix. My foster mom thinks I might have some shepherd in me, too. (She also says I am so cute it hurts to look at me, but that I look kinda derpy in pictures.) I really, really love to play outside in the snow and do big dog activities with my foster siblings. They have shown me how to be a dog, how to wrestle, and how to do cool stuff like go snowshoeing and skijoring. I need to have another dog in my forever home so I have someone to roughhouse with and also show me how to be a confident dog (sometimes I’m a scaredy cat with new experiences or meeting new people). I would also really like to have some active owners and a fenced in yard to help me enjoy the world and burn off some of my energy. I try really hard to be a good boy, but husky people know how it is. I am also pretty sure I am BFFs with the cat here. We hang out. Sometimes he beats me up, and I let him. I know how to eat dinner in my crate and am learning sit, shake, and how to walk better on a leash. I am potty trained with a dog door; having to go potty on a leash is a little harder for me. I am not a super noisy guy, but I do give the most adorable ‘awooos’ when I’m excited to see you or if my foster siblings need help singing to our people. I do need a home without young children as their energy freaks me out! I’m kinda shy when I first meet new people, but once I get to know you I am a very sweet and silly boy. I am hoping for a kind and patient owner who will enjoy my sweet silly nature and gently work on helping me with my training.
