Mabel, the hungry old lady, is a Woman of a Certain Age (8-10), who gets along with all people (she particularly likes mature men) and dogs (she slides right into the pack), and is mildly curious about cats. Her foster calls her easy (in a good way)! She has excellent house manners, she’s confident, knows her own mind, has an even temperament, and is a total shadow (whoever adopts her will never pee, shower, or walk to the kitchen alone, for real). She likes walks and is easy on a leash, still has a bit of bounce in her step, and is up for a roll on her back in the grass and a light frolic with the middle aged dogs. Sleeps soundly and through the whole night. She’s 45 lbs and hard of hearing, except when it comes to the treat bag. Mabel joined MHCR at the end of April and has been on hold while she finishes her heartworm treatment.
