Nickie's Story

Meet Nickie! 💕
At just 33 pounds, Nickie is the perfect lap-dog-sized companion with the cutest speckled coat and an even brighter smile! This 3-year-old (possibly Pit Bull/Boston Terrier mix) is spunky, playful, and full of personality — the kind of dog who can make you laugh every single day.

Nickie adores people and is always excited to make new dog friends. She listens well to her older foster sibling, crates like a champ, and seems to be house trained. She has just the right balance of zoomie energy and cuddly sweetness — one minute she’s playfully bouncing around, and the next she’s curled up for snuggles.

If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate pup who’s equal parts silly and sweet, Nickie is your girl! She can’t wait to find her forever home and fill it with love (and a few joyful wiggles). 🐾💖

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
