Nigel's Story

Nigel! Nigel is a happy, 2 year old, Chinese Pug. This adorably smooshed face cutie is dog friendly and does well with every person he meets! Nigel is still learning about house training and taking treats gently, but he’s a smart boy and he’s catching on quickly. Nigel (being a brachiocephalic breed) couldn’t breathe through his nose very well. In an effort to try to help him with this, Nigel had stenotic nares surgery to open up his airways a bit. This playful pup is looking for a fun loving family of his own!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
