Opal (I've Already Found a Home)

Opal is a 4-5 year old, female, Chiweenie. While she may not be winning any beauty contests, she hands down wins class vote for best personality. Opal LIVES for human attention and affection. She came to MHCR with a litter of pups (of which 2 survived) from a hoarding home down in Texas. She’s extremely social, good with dogs, uses a doggie door and would love a home without shared walls (ok, she doesn’t care about that, but connecting neighbors may – this is how we say she can be barky in rescue). Opal is around 10 lbs. She’s got plenty of energy for any adventure but is happy to spend her days by your side chillin’, as well. Prior to adoption, Opal will have a dental and have her cherry eyes repaired. She’s been a loving and attentive mama dog and now it’s her turn to get pampered. Opal has been tested with kiddos age 8+ and she’s done very well. We don’t expect her to have any issues with younger kiddos. She’s extremely food motivated and skilled at walking on 2 feet.
