Meet Poe! Poe the people person, errr, dog. Poe is a 5-6 month old, male, Husky/Chihuahua mix. I know, right? What the heck? Well, whoever’s dumb idea that was created a smart little thing, wicked smart actually. Poe is like a pint sized husky and his temperament is perfect for husky lovers on the go that need a more compact dog. Poe loves other dogs and enjoys wrestling about. But, his one true love is his person. He bonds hard. This is why he wants a person who will treat him like the pocket sized chihuahua he is in his mind, yet will exercise him like the independent husky he sees when he looks in the mirror. Rest assured though, he’s far from independent (he just thinks that). Poe does not enjoy alone time and if you work a 9-5 and live in a high rise, he’s not your dog. Crates freak him out and he sings the songs of both of his people (cue husky howls and chihuahua screams). He seeks the work-from-home adventure lover. Mountaintops by day, breweries by night type of life – yep that’s for him. He’s quite a social butterfly. His foster mom is working hard to help him build some independence by having him sleep on a bed next to hers. However, Poe’s put in a request with the higher ups to axe this practice and allow him in the bed.
