Meet Ruthie, a 3-5 year old Chihuahua who weighs in at a solid 8 lbs and might have a teeny tiny smidge of Beagle in her. Plus, she has the most adorable little nub for a tail and she’s all about the sploots. This little treasure has been through a lot in her short life and now she’s finally ready to find her forever family. Ruthie came to MHCR from Roswell, NM where she was found as a stray. We discovered that she had an old injury to her spine, pelvis, and rear leg. Despite all of that, you couldn’t find a sweeter little girl! She got a second chance at life and underwent surgery to have her tail amputated and to fix her broken hip and leg. Through it all, she has remained spunky and playful. Ruthie can be a bit cautious with new people and is looking for a quiet home with no kids. Due to the Chihuahua in her, she is not a candidate for apartments. She loves walks and gets along great with small dogs. If Ruthie is the right girl for you, apply today!
