Snickers's Story

Snickers is the ultimate tomboy! Being raised with so many brothers will do that to ya, though! She’s playful, athletic, and has places to go and people to meet. At 12 weeks old, Snickers is dog friendly, stranger friendly, and she’s ready to find her forever home. She’s even crate trained and uses a doggie door. Whether you’re active and on-the -go or looking for a play friend for your resident dog, Snickers is your girl. She’s the versatile pup! Snickers and her family are from Oklahoma. Her mom, Taffy, was tied to a tree and she whelped 14 puppies. During a tornado, 3 of the puppies perished. She and the rest survived and found refuge with a foster home. She’s ready to put her past behind her and get started on her true forever!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
