Winston's Story

Sweet Winston. Winston and his brother, Cooper, came to MHCR from a high intake shelter in Texas. A volunteer went to visit them and noticed immediately they needed out! She took them home, nursed them back to health, and then sent them on their way to Colorado. They are thriving in foster care! Both are good with kiddos, other dogs, and they’re even kennel trained! Winston is a pittie mix. We estimate he will be around 50-60 lbs once fully grown. He’s looking for a home with a yard and humans that want to snuggle and love him! He’s approx 8-10 weeks old.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
