Ziggy's Story

Meet Ziggy! 🐾💛

Ziggy is a 1–2-year-old Golden Retriever who is basically a big, goofy puppy in a golden package. He loves people, loves other dogs, and loves being part of the action. His ideal home will keep his body and brain busy with walks, adventures, training, playtime, and plenty of quality time with his humans. Ziggy struggles when left alone, so he’s looking for a family where someone is home often or who can bring him along for the fun. A fenced in yard is also required.

Ziggy came to a very rural shelter in Texas as a stray and, heartbreakingly, was never reclaimed. We can’t imagine how anyone could leave this happy, lovable guy behind—but we’re pretty sure his next chapter is going to be much better. ❤️

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
