This little corndog is Monty! Monty is 7 years old and is believed to be a Maltese/West Hyland Terrier mix. He is a sweet boy who loves belly rubs, attention, and treats (a little too much). Monty is a little chunk and needs a family committed to helping him lose some weight. He’s presently 29 lbs but should be closer to 20. This should be easy because he enjoys running around and being active! He loves going on walks and also chasing toys. Monty lose his home due to an international move. He was raised with children and other dogs and would very much love to have a companion. He even got to sleep in the human bed and he would love to be able to do that, too! Monty loves pets and attention and will let you know he wants some by rolling over for some belly rubs. He is very smart and responsive to training – he even knows a few commands! Monty is seeking a feline free home.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
