Community Outreach

Mile High Canine Rescue is committed to addressing the pet overpopulation crisis and keeping dogs out of shelters in the first place. While adoption of unwanted pets is a key factor, we cannot adopt our way out of too many unwanted pets. We are firm believers that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

MHCR has partnered with Bergen Spay and Neuter Alliance, Fix West Texas, Spay and Neuter Your Pets organization and Crossroads Veterinary to offer free and low cost spay and neuter clinics in underserved areas across Colorado and Texas.
