Lyza's Story

What’s 7 lbs, has a squiggly tail, is cute as a button and has spots all over?!? Lyza! This spunky, diva is around a year old and already she’s ready to grab life by the horns. Lyza is a busy girl, loves to cuddle, and is dog friendly – albeit a bit of a pest. She’s crate trained and walks well on leash, too. Lyza is overall house trained, however she does mark a bit when first coming to a new home. Lyza is a peppy, playful, sweet girl that will do well in a variety of homes. Please note, a lap dog she is not, and she will not enjoy a sedentary home.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
