I feel like I can safely say it’s unlikely you will meet a happier boy than Remi. This 5-6 year old, Frenchie joined MHCR some months ago from a situation of severe neglect. His nails were overgrown into his paw pads, he was skinny, and still he wore the biggest smile. It didn’t take long for us to realize Remi had bad legs. His knees had severely luxated patellas that required two surgeries and two lengthy recovery periods. He’s finally cleared and he’s ready to find his forever home. Remi is a social guy. He enjoys the company of his peeps and fancies himself quite a swimmer (although we don’t tell him standing in a pool of ice isn’t swimming). He walks well on a leash and lives successfully with multiple dogs and doesn’t mind cats. He’s quite frankly nearly perfect, with one flaw. Remi requires prescription food due to crystals found in his urine. He doesn’t eat much, so it’s not a big deal. He also dribbles some peepee at night while he sleeps. His foster mom has an amazing system of covering his dog bed with a potty pad each night which keeps the issue at bay. If you’re the type to want to snuggle in bed, a male doggie wrap will do. If you have a soft spot for the little dudes that have been through hell, this frog dog is your boy. Trust me when I say, dogs like him don’t come around often.
