Polly is a lovable, 4-5 year old, pooch who seems to be a doodle mix, although we aren’t sure if she’s a labradoodle, a goldendoodle, a wolfadoodle, or what exactly she may be. Polly is around 85 lbs! While it’s true, she’s a big girl, her prior family used food to show their love for her and Polly was extremely overweight as a result. She’s done a stellar job losing weight since she’s arrived and only has about 10 more lbs to go! Despite her size, she is gentle and affectionate and adores her human companions. Polly will often trail behind you, settling in close proximity and resting her head on your foot or couch edge while gazing lovingly into your eyes! It’s quite adorable and amusing. She is perfectly house trained. When Polly came back to MHCR, in addition to being severly overweight, she had a torn CCL. Polly quickly had TPLO surgery to alleviate her pain and is recuperating splendidly. Although she is somewhat reactive on a leash, Polly is eager to please and can be trained with patience and, let’s be honest, treats. To best suit her needs, Polly would flourish in a home with a fenced yard where she is the only animal in the home. Polly is losing her foster family in early-May.
