This lovely girl is Moxie. She is around 6-8 months of age, a German Shepherd mix, and around 45 lbs, currently. She was saved from a high kill, high volume shelter in Roswell, New Mexico where she had previously been picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. There was a shelter wide quarantine/shut down that prevented any dogs from leaving for a while and so she sadly was there for about seven weeks and then found herself on the euthanasia list before her rescue. She is a very sweet girl who we believe was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Moxie is working on gaining some weight after her ordeal but is otherwise healthy. She is adjusting well to living in a foster home with kids and other dogs. She is doing well with crate training, routine, consistency, and is learning very fast. She is a typical active puppy that needs obedience work and continued training and socialization. She is smart, very eager to learn, wants to please her humans, and is food motivated which all help with training. We are requesting a home (ideally with a fenced yard) with an active owner and/or another dog to play with for Moxie.
