Bambi, named after America’s favorite little fawn, and rightfully so! Bambi has long, skinny legs and the cutest spots. There’s no question that’s how she earned her name. Bambi uses her stilt like legs to jump straight up into her humans arms from the ground! The girl has hops! She even fancies herself much like a human and chooses to be bipedal sometimes. Bambi is 6 years old and approx 10 lbs. She LOVES her people and just wants to be wherever they are. Bambi is good with most other dogs, however, she doesn’t require one in her forever home. She’d be more than happy to be the center of her human’s world. Bambi joined MHCR from a shelter in Roswell, NM. She was spayed (long overdue) and had over 20 teeth extracted during her dental. Now she’s sporting fresh, clean, pearly whites and is ready to find her forever home. Bambi is hard at work on her house training, too!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
