Mara Jade is an almost 4-year-old, female, Australian Kelpie mix who is looking for her forever home. She is incredibly smart and loyal, and loves to please! She loves playing frisbee, tug of war, fetch with balls and sticks, and catching snowballs! She loves sunbathing in the summer and snuggling under the blankets in the winter. While she needs to be in a single-animal home, she is great with kids who can respect her space when she needs it. She loves hindquarter scritches and will back her tush right into you to get closer when you hit the right spot! She welcomes any food you offer her (except greens!) and will politely ask for cheese, peanut butter, and banana tax! Mara Jade is house and crate trained.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
