Oreo's Story

This love bug is Oreo. Oreo is 4 years old, 50 lbs, and a pittie mix. 3.5 years ago was the best day of her life when she got adopted into a wonderful home. She became house trained, crate trained, trustworthy free roam, and she was loved beyond measure. Unfortunately, Oreo’s family is moving abroad and she doesn’t get to go with them, landing her in great need once again. Oreo is good with kiddos, most other dogs, and enjoys playing with cats! She has through the month of September before she will be homeless once again. Don’t let this girl pass you by, she’s a family dog and she belongs in a home.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
