Rosie's Story

Miss Rosie is such a sweet girl. She’s around 2 years old and approx 16 lbs. Rosie joined MHCR from Texas – there she found herself homeless with 7 puppies in a high intake/high kill shelter fighting for her life and the lives of her puppies. Rosie saw her family to safety and now it’s her turn to find a forever home. She’s a little timid out of the gate, but she warms up and then you can see the most beautiful, loyal girl. She craves human affection and would love to take a snooze with you on the couch or the bed. She also loves to play with her other canine foster siblings. Rosie finds a lot of confidence in other dogs and we prefer a home with friendly canine companion for her to pal around with. She’s also cat tolerant. Rosie is working on her house training, and she does well in a crate once she has a chance to settle in.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
