Looking for a high-energy, typical working type Australian Shepherd that likes to run, hike, and play fetch with? Well…keep looking. ‘Cause that isn’t our girl! But, if you’re looking for a slightly pudgy, professional couch potato whose greatest ambition in life is to have her belly rubbed…..HAVE WE GOT THE GIRL FOR YOU.
Sky is a 3-year-old Mini Aussie mix who came to us in June with a badly broken leg. After two surgeries, months of recovery, and a whole lot of TLC, she’s officially been cleared for adoption! 🎉 She still has her signature wonky walk (and probably always will), but she’s healed, happy, and ready for her forever home.
Sky’s idea of adventure is a short, leisurely stroll followed by approximately 47 hours of belly rubs. She’s perfectly content ignoring other dogs, has zero interest in playing fetch, and thinks a tasty bone is about as exciting as life needs to get. She can get a little anxious when left alone, so a home where someone is around a lot would be ideal. Otherwise? Her foster mom says she’s genuinely the easiest foster they’ve ever had. Sky doesn’t need an adventurous lifestyle, a doggy playmate (though she’s fine with dogs), or much of anything, really. Just HER person, a comfy couch, and functioning belly-rubbing hands.
She’s survived the hard part. Now she deserves the easy life. ❤️
Who’s ready to be Sky’s forever couch buddy?
