Duchess! This gorgeous girl is a 6-month-old Dalmatian! She’s sugar and spi….well, more sugar, and a little caffeine. Duchess is a very friendly, active girl that enjoys playing parkour with her foster siblings around the house and yard. She will thrive in a home that’s active and loves to engage the mind of an alert, intelligent dog. Duchess is also a wonderful snuggle buddy once she takes time to recharge. She takes walks with her foster mom and would be a perfect exercising companion, too! Duchess came to MHCR as a surrender from her breeder due to too many pups to sell. She was raised with kiddos and other dogs and is overall a very well-rounded girl. She does become very fearful with corrections so will certainly need a home dedicated to positive redirection rather than verbal reprimands to help build her confidence.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
