Jewel's Story

Meet Jewel 💎

Jewel is a 2–3 year old, female, Lab mix with a heart as big as her story. This sweet girl was sadly dumped on a property while pregnant, but she proved what an incredible mama she is by safely welcoming five puppies. She then made the trip to Colorado with her whole little family in tow, ready for a fresh start and a happy ending of her own.

Jewel is dog friendly, playful, and incredibly affectionate. She loves being around people and isn’t shy about asking for pets and attention. One of her most adorable features is her cute little stubby tail that wiggles when she’s happy—which is pretty often.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
