Jolie's Story

Jolie is a 2-3 year old, female, Shih Tzu mix (and I’d guess a dash of terrier in there, too). She recently came to MHCR as a surrender along with a few of her canine friends from Texas due to the family’s inability to care for the dogs. She’s a gentle, affectionate, girl with such a soft coat. Jolie is great with dogs and loving towards people. She doesn’t have much experience out in the big, scary, world but she’s quickly building her confidence and we are certain she will adapt beautifully to a variety of homes. Jolie’s fave spot is belly up getting tummy scratches in her humans lap. She is approx 17 lbs. Due to her shy demeanor, we are requiring another dog in the home.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
