Kirby is our little Frenchie that could! This sweet girl joined MHCR in late February. She was given to us by a vet office that had taken her in as a surrender. She was given to them because she had a broken leg they were unable to afford care for. It’s unclear exactly why or how this happened, but over the course of a month or so, this breeder would come into the vet office with a pup or two from the litter – each with a broken leg. They surrendered 4 pups in total due to broken limbs. Kirby is now almost 8 months old, and her leg has fully healed. She’s a resilient, loving pup that’s great with dogs and kiddos. Kirby hasn’t enjoyed her time on crate rest and is anxiously awaiting spending all of her free time as close to her humans as possible. She eventually settles down in her crate, but it’s not a place where she wants to spend all of her time, so a family that is home often would be great. She also will insist on sleeping in bed with you and for the most part does beautifully, but when she wakes up, she needs to potty ASAP! She’s otherwise doing very well with her house training and is well on her way! Kirby is playful, affectionate, and snuggly and we’re certain she will make an amazing addition to any Frenchie enthusiast family!
