Maggie is magnificent! She’s a 6-7 year old, petite, low-to-medium energy, cattle dog mix that’s as low maintenance as they come. She’s house trained to a doggie door, non-destructive, and loves (ok, insists) on snuggling in bed every night with her foster mom. Maggie likes car rides, treats (🐷), and playing with her foster siblings. She’s great with dogs of all sizes and does well with most humans too – although sometimes she makes them work for her love at first. Maggie is a known paddle boarder, hiker, explorer, and can often be seen strolling the streets of old town. She’s versatile because she’s such a compact, yet hearty girl.
Maggie joined MHCR from a very small, underfunded, shelter in Texas. She had spent some time there and the shelter staff thought she might be pregnant. Turns out she just likes food. 🤷♀️. Maggie got a dental, a spay, and had her heartworm treatment (she’s now negative). She’s ready to settle in with her forever humans. We recommend a home with a fenced in yard, and someone looking for a snuggle buddy.
