Handsome Max is a 4 year old, 23 lbs, Beagle and he’s looking for a home. Max was surrendered to a local, northern Colorado shelter due to his family not having time for him. Max was very scared there and he didn’t appreciate being poked and prodded by the vet team — which caused him to quickly find his way to the euthanasia list. We thought he deserved a chance in a home and thankfully the shelter agreed. Max joined a multi-dog foster home where he’s doing quite well! He’s house trained, crate trained, uses a doggie door, and very cuddly when his nose isn’t hard at work. Max is dog friendly with dogs of all sizes, but has nominated himself as house sheriff if the rowdy dogs get too carried away. Due to his body sensitivity issues noted by the shelter during vetting, we recommend a home with older kiddos, however, Max’s prior owner reports he’s wonderful with kids.
