Max's Story

Max is a 9 month old, male, Great Pyrenees mix. This handsome fluff ball is a bit of a shy guy, but he warms up quickly, especially with little kiddos! Max also finds great comfort in the presence of other canine friends and will do best in a multi-dog home with a fenced yard. He is presently 55 lbs and we suspect he will mature around 75 lbs. Max uses the doggie door in his foster home and has quickly discovered all the luxuries of home living, including air conditioning and cool, wood, floors! He is working on his grate training, too.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
