Our boy Max is a 1.5 year old, male, Husky mix. This happy guy loves to play with dog friends, go exploring, and snuggle up for a good nap. Max first joined MHCR in February 2022 as a transfer from the Amarillo shelter. He was originally brought in there severely injured and it was later discovered that he had been shot! His front, right leg was shattered and bullet fragments could be seen all over his xrays. Max had surgery to repair his leg and then spent a couple months in foster care while he recovered. Max expected blue skies ahead when he was adopted by a family that had a love of huskies. Unfortunately, that love was not the forever kind and Max found himself, again, in search of a home.
Max is presently in a boarding facility where he participates in doggie play groups and enjoys the company of canine companions. Max is all things husky – independent, active, and smart as a whip. He will thrive in a home with a fenced yard and humans that love all things dog. Activity and adventure are two things Max loves. He would prefer a home with older kiddos.
