Penny's Story

Penny is a beautiful Shepherd mix girl that’s in need of a retirement home. She’s estimated to be between 9-12 years old. She and her sister, Bea, have found themselves stuck at a boarding facility for the last several months while their owner dealt with a court case. Unfortunately, they can’t go back home. Penny and Bea are not bonded. Penny is house trained, dog friendly, and on the chill side. The staff adore her and can’t wait for her to replace her current life with one that involves a nice comfy couch. Penny greets even strangers with a huge, beaming smile! My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports.
