Hi y’all, I’m PORTER! 🍻 I’m a 5 month old Great Dane mix! Fun fact: Porter beers are characterized by their dark color and they are typically medium-bodied and while some sweetness is present, it’s generally less pronounced. Well it’s no shocker this is how my foster mom chose my name! What I mean is I am the dog version of porter beer… you see my beautiful black coat, lanky build body? I’m a little shy, but I warm up beautifully with some patience and the presence of another confident dog! I came to MHCR after a backyard breeder surrendered me at a shelter in New Mexico with 2 of my brothers (watch for them soon) and my sister (she got adopted from the shelter). My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
