Scarlet's Story

Scruffy Scarlet is a 1 year old, genuine Heinz 57 though she greatly resembles a wire hair cattle dog. Scarlet is dog friendly but her main goal in life is to be with her peeps. Scarlet was found as a stray in Texas. She and her dog friend were both pregnant and their humans never claimed them. So, Scarlet traveled to CO where she whelped her puppies. Now that her pups are nearly grown, its time Scarlet finds her forever happily ever after. Scarlet is looking for a home with a 6’ privacy fence and humans that appreciate a sweet and affectionate girl. Scarlet is around 55 lbs.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
