Topaz's Story

This handsome red-head is Topaz! He has beautiful topaz colored eyes (turns out Topaz isn’t always blue, it’s often a deep gold – I def had to google that, too)! Topaz is an 8 week old pup that is friendly and playful in nature. His mom is a lab mix that’s about 40 lbs. She showed up at a man’s property in Texas heavily pregnant, whelped 5 pups and then family sought help finding them their forever homes. Topaz is looking for a welcoming, fun-loving, family to call his own!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
