Wednesday's Story

Isn’t it only fitting that our beautiful, black beauty is named Wednesday and has become available right before Halloween? She’s anything but creepy, kooky, and ooky though. This girl is sweet, submissive, and snuggly. She’s house trained, crate trained, and even seems free roam trustworthy in her foster home. Wednesday is 4 years old. She’s a bit underweight at 64 lbs and once she’s healthy we are confident she will have a beautiful, rich, black coat. Wednesday was found as a stray and turned in to a local CO shelter. We just couldn’t resist her sweet face and reached out immediately to see if we could help and bring her into foster care. She’s a true gem and will thrive in a home with another doggie friend to follow around!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
