Woody's Story

Meet Woody, a happy, hoppy, goofy boy full of joy….and himself! I mean it, not even your favorite serial killer documentary can provide this kind of entertainment. Woody is a 6-7 month old assumed Border Collie/Pit mix. True to his herding roots, he’s a bit on the mouthy side, but he means no harm. Woody would greatly benefit from a similarly sized, playful, canine housemate to romp around with. He’s no stranger to cuddle time for a quick recharge, either. Woody has excellent home manners and his hatred for the crate is waning. He’s doing quite well with his leash skills, too. All-in-all, if your life is lacking in fun, he could be your guy!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
